Lakeside Amusement Park. Bumper cars were closed but I had a walk around inside. East side building. Fun exploration. This is at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver CO. One of the oldest around. This shack had been through severe flooding and was nestled North of Boulder, CO. It was a home with toys, clothes, kitchen and bathroom supplies. And it has been sleeping for a long time. This gargantuan building on the East side of Cleveland was so majestic to explore and feel into. This gargantuan building on the East side of Cleveland was so majestic to explore and feel into. This gargantuan building on the East side of Cleveland was so majestic to explore and feel into. This abandoned work place was on the outskirts of Cleveland. There was so much left behind. Windows broken open and thick dust. These items sitting quietly…patiently…giving me permission to create a photo. While exploring in Kanjiza, Serbia I came across this abandoned building. A sink in the back room behind theater screen in Cleveland OH This was an historic old movie theater in Cleveland that was going to be transitioned to something else. The projector room and apartment above the theater was amazing. On a walk in Kanjiza, Serbia the texture and color caught my attention. Sacred space and time…woods in Ohio Reykjavik, Iceland. In the city to teach and found such a lovely juxtaposition of mural and rubble along the water. Near the Loop This was in Cleveland.  Really cold day but the light was gorgeous. Perfect Fall day So many feet of snow. An epic winter in Cleveland. Near the lake on west side.  So many abandoned buildings. I found this garage in Cleveland.  There was many things in there…like the skeleton of an expired cat. The Pacific Ocean always calls to me energetically…even more so up in British Columbia Canada. Maybe it is the good friends up there…but these waters call to me. Stormy day over Lake Michigan, 2014 Over Boulder CO 2014 There was so much I explored but not as much I wanted to photograph.  It was a meditative time exploring all the layers. This warehouse has been falling apart for a while. It was fun to explore. The sky was so big and bright in LA. In New Jersey this pier was beautiful at sunset. 2002 Silverlake CA at sunset. On Sheep’s Head peninsula in Ireland this statue of Mary stands out. Winter 2012 On my birthday I took a boat trip on the Mekong river in Laos.  We stopped to see the Pak Ou caves (just outside Luang Prabang) which are known for their miniature Buddha sculptures. Hundreds of very small and mostly damaged wooden Buddhist figures are laid out over the wall shelves. Spring 2005 This was on west coast.  I just love it. This was a train station no longer in use in Southern Illinois.  So sweet. Underneath and old pier in Northern CA Sunset walking the boardwalk in Santa Cruz CA Toilet out in back of Arundels pub in Ahakista Ireland. The pier at the Berkeley marina in CA. At Knoebels amusement park, PA.  Round and round. At Knoebels amusement park in Elysburg PA.  Playing in the game arcade with photo booth. At the top of Mauna Kea on Big Island of Hawaii.  Amazing to be above the clouds.  Tallest mountain that starts below sea level (yes, technically taller than Everest since it starts below the waters surface) Reaching into Boulder Creek, Boulder-CO. This junkyard in Los Angeles has so many crazy things.  But the thing that caught my eye was LOVE. At Arundle’s pub in Ahakista, Ireland for a session of music! On the bridge going over the Ganges in Rishikesh, India. This mother monkey and baby took some respite. These monkeys are typically pretty active scavenging and generally getting in your business. It was sweet to see this moment. Chautauqua Park, Boulder CO. Incredibly cold……but a great hike! Bolinas CA cliff overlooking the bay. Prayer flags in the hills above Pharping, Nepal. On the streets around the Great Stupa in Kathmandu there are prayer candles to light. From the cliff top in Bolinas CA sunset. Beach in Bolinas CA for sunset In Northern CA, Bolinas. Skies over Boulder after the epic 500 year flood in September 2013. The first time I went surfing off Vancouver Island with a dear friend.  Magik time. Driving from New Mexico to California.  After an epic rainstorm a perfect pit stop. Windswept. Off of one of the many winding streets. The color and light really struck me. Prayer wheels at the temple complex in Dharamsala. In Dharamsala I loved my hotel room and this view off my balcony of this amazing red color.  You can’t tell but the Himalayas are behind it.  And often there was this young girl wearing blue playing on the stairs. In Guinea there would be these stalls in the neighborhoods to buy things like cigarettes, sugar, oil, crisps, cola and tea etc. They had no windows, just bars that were permanent or came up when it was open. Guinea always had a street ‘performance’ or some music and dance happening…ALL the time.  It was amazing.  And it would usually be amplified too! In Maui sitting on the cliff edge.  I think it was my birthday. A bus ride heading out of town from Kathmandu, Nepal. In Southern Ireland between Cork and Bantry.  A lovely and magical stone circle. I was driving past this Motel on a road trip and the light grabbed me. I turned around and pulled in the parking lot. The open door an invitation. I loved this apartment above the LaSalle theater in Cleveland. Perfect amount of rundown and light. These were not far from Bantry in Ireland. So many lovely old structures. In Kathmandu there are so many people…locals included who would wear face masks or cover their mouths/nose. The air was so thick with pollution. On the bus heading out of town. You always see cars or trucks packed with people. Motorcycles with more than you think possible. The hustle and bustle of Delhi. This was taken from the Taj Mahal looking down behind. Personally, I wasn’t very ‘touched’ by the Taj itself but this image was beautiful. From the window of the hotel in Delhi I don’t take many color images….but something about the pink and chipped authoritative sign made my day. This was on west coast of Ireland I found while hitchhiking around. An old castle-esque structure. So magical. This was on the west coast of Ireland….I don’t remember where. But the texture and reflection….the quiet that day was lovely. Southern IL train station that was abandoned. The light was amazing that day and I love the older signs and wood trim in there. Icicles on loading dock of old Cuneo factory in Chicago. Amazing place that is long gone. Empty train car in India….I loved the light and quiet Blades of grass Near old train yard. Hot and dusty day in Colorado On a road trip I happened upon this abandoned motel in Milan Ohio. Really beautiful and unique. I got a few photos but just truly appreciated the experience. I was living in Dharamsala and would walk to the temple complex every day. The Dalai Lama was home much of this time and it was an amazing gift to not just be in his presence but to be amongst all the locals and the tangible love and energy that was invoked. I was on tour in the south and out for a walk….I loved this sign Gentle wind and hot temps. I love feeling the dignity of this post…. This abandoned house I found driving through the midwest. It had so many personal items left in it….windows and doors open with wind blowing curtains. The kitchen was striking with so many older containers and children’s cups/bottles. One of my favorite days with my surf buddy on west side of island of Maui…..perfect day… This was on an old and tired court somewhere in the Midwest……it had an elegance to it…..
